Two comfortable armchairs near the fireplace (waiting for a good conversation) (Commissioned in 2018)

Fabric, leather, smoke

Capturing the essence of Mister Sipkema in an abstract diptych. Continuing the thrift store and recycle path from the Orphan project, two discarded arm-chairs were stripped from their skin. Finding beauty in their wear, tear and stains the fabric was stretched and finally smoked to trigger the emotional, melancholic part of the spectators brain.
